A chipper suitable for wood residues from the forest and sawmill industry. The good angle of entry of the wood into the chipper results in a reduced fuel efficiency per volume of chopped material. The large width of the inlet hopper and the small distance of the feeder from the disc result in the chipper chopping wide branches well. It is characterized by a relatively large disc diameter that allows the chips to be ejected to a height of 3.2 m.
The machine is very solid, consisting of a machined base on which a double disc with knives rests. The disc is balanced and attached to the base with two self-adjusting bearings (SKF). The disc has three adjustable knives made of tool steel. The base also has two adjustable counter knives, which ensure minimal clearance between the knives, and thus fine and uniform chips. By moving the knives relative to each other, we can achieve different thicknesses of chips. The knives are larger in size, so they can be sharpened and reused several times.
The shredded material can be used for firewood, compost or as a decorative weed barrier.
